This course is designed for pet owners seeking relaxation, connection, and enhanced well-being through sharing meditation with their pets.
Lesson 1 introduces the concept of pet meditation, distinguishing it from other meditation forms, and sets the stage for what participants can expect. Ahsa shares her personal journey into pet meditation, inviting students to actively engage in the course.
Lesson 2 delves into the numerous benefits of meditating alongside pets, supported by compelling research. Participants will uncover how pet companionship fosters emotional support, reduces stress, and enhances quality of life, all while strengthening the bond between pet and owner.
Lesson 3 focuses on creating the ideal meditation space for both you and your pet, addressing common challenges and offering strategies to accommodate your pet's unique personality and rhythms. Patience and flexibility are emphasized in this nurturing environment.
Lesson 4 invites participants to deepen their practice, inspired by Rumi’s field of tranquility. Students will explore how to immerse themselves in love and presence with their pets, free of distractions, cultivating lasting peace and connection.
Lesson 5 culminates the experience with a 15-minute guided meditation that integrates all lessons, encouraging participants to mindfully connect with their pets, embrace the bond shared, and express gratitude.
Lesson 6 includes a 20-minute bonus loving-kindness meditation for you and your pet—a chance to support each other in an even deeper way and cultivate compassion, not just for each other, but for all living beings on the planet.

A cat named Pumpkin first introduced this meditation teacher, science nerd, and animal lover to the practice of pet meditation nearly 10 years ago.
She taught Ahsa that meditation doesn't have to be serious or even practiced alone; it can instead be a joyful, shared experience. Ahsa has continued to study and refine the practice of pet meditation with her own cats and with people and pets from around the world in her weekly, live pet meditation events on Insight Timer.
Immersed in the transformative practices of yoga and meditation since 2004, Ahsa completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2010 and has taught hundreds of yoga and meditation classes since then.
In addition to her foundational training, Ahsa holds a bachelor's degree in biology and delights in the intersection of meditation and science, often incorporating scientific research into her teachings to enrich her students' experiences.
Through her work, Ahsa strives to create a welcoming environment where everyone can experience the benefits of mindfulness and connection, both with themselves and their pets.

What a wonderful course. My pets enjoyed the meditation sessions as much as I did. A pet is such a loving and peaceful anchor for a meditation practice. Informative and relaxing guided meditations are presented in calm and pleasant manner. Great job!

Words can’t describe the burning sun energy in my heart from the unconditional love and appreciation that is felt on the last day. My heart has been so fulfilled on this journey that has brought more gratitude than I thought possible reflecting on our time and also broaden my perspective on all the lives around me, not just the ones I know and love, but now everyone and everything!!!
